The Witch

Of all the radical things I've done, claiming the word witch has opened a path that has led me away from smallness and shame and more deeply into my power to know love. This label carries immense cultural weight- it is one we've been raised to fear. But, to me, the Witch is a keeper of wisdom, a steward of nature’s rhythms, and a guide to personal and collective liberation.

History is rich with witches- we call them herbalists, midwives, healers. We call them activists, priestesses, poets.
Over centuries, Witches have embodied their wildness, stewarded this Earth, and cared for their communities. Even now, she is stirring revolution, tending to the unseen, and weaving magic through everyday life.
To be a Witch is the art of being in conversation with life itself, honoring its patterns, and moving with reverence and intention. This path is ultimately one of communion with the sacred unknown with deep curiosity, resilience, and joy.

I want you to read these words and remember something within yourself- to recognize your power to make magic. I honor the Witch as a living archetype who stands- in between worlds- embracing divine mystery as truth.

For ages, the Witch was hunted, not because she was evil, but because she was powerful and untamable. She held knowledge that could not be controlled—of birth, of death, of healing, of pleasure, of shadow and light.. To call oneself a Witch is to reclaim something sacred: the birthright of wild and deep feminine deep wisdom, and the ability to create, to transform, to heal.

Under the cloak of the Witch, I can fully express myself as the lover, the mystic, the doula, the teacher, the mother, the bitch...the one who tends both fire and shadow, who moves with the rhythms of the Earth (our mother) and the perfect spiraling of the cosmos. I am devoted to life in all its wild and sacred expressions. To the goddess in her infinite forms. To the wisdom of the body, the breath, and the cycles that guide us home. Remembering again and again that the core of my identity is LOVE.
